Wax Melt Care Instructions

Enjoy your botanical wax melts safely

Please read the following wax melt care instructions.

Wax Melt Care Instructions Remove your botanical wax melts from the packaging and place in the well of your melt burner.  Use with an unscented tea light or an electric burner, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.  Only burn the wax melt on a level, heat resistant surface.  Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

Safety –  Do not put fingers or hands in the unit while lit.  To reduce the risk of injury, keep out of reach of children and pets.  Do not leave unattended or burn out of sight.  Place unit on a level, heat resistant surface away from other heat elements.  Do not overfill the bowl, you can top up once the wax has melted.  The burner may become hot; do not touch while in use as melted (hot) wax can burn.  Allow to cool when finished using.  See “changing your wax melts” on how best to do this!  See label on your botanical wax melt packaging for further health and safety advice.

Wax Melt Storage – We want you to get the most from your botanical wax melts.  They are sensitive to light and temperature so it’s best to store them in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.  Keep them dust free by keeping the extra wax melts in their original packaging.

Changing your botanical wax melts There are two ways you can remove your used wax melts in order to start a new one.  We call it the hot or cold method – liquid or hard.

If your warmer has been on and the wax is liquid, take two cotton balls and place them in the warmer tray with the liquid wax, let it absorb and disregard the cotton balls.  Take a paper towel and wipe away any excess wax

If your warmer is not on and the wax has hardened, it is easier to remove it by relighting the tea light/turning the warmer on for 10-30 seconds so the wax loosens in the dish and can be removed in one piece.  Apply a light amount of pressure to the melt and the melt should pop out.  Be sure to wipe away any excess wax with a paper towel.  Any residue left in the dish from the botanicals can be cleaned with warm soapy water and a cloth/paper towel.
