Now that you have your Inner Eco hand made candle, it’s time for you to sit down, relax and light that wick… but wait… Did you know that good candle care can prolong the life of your coconut soy candle?  Please take the time to read the safety advice and tips below to ensure you get the most from your Inner Eco candle.  So grab a cuppa and have a read!

~ Before each burn, make sure you trim the wick to approximately 5mm above the wax top. This can be done easily by pinching the burnt wick with your fingers or using a wick trimmer and always make sure the wax is free of debris.

~ When burning your candle for the first time, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edge of the jar. Doing so will ensure an even burn throughout the candle and will avoid what is known as tunnelling.

~ Ensure you always burn your candle on an even, heat resistant surface and ensure it’s away from any flammable items.

~ Never burn a candle for longer than 4 hours at a time, burning longer can this will heat the jar resulting in the wax burning through faster than it should.

~ Always burn your candle within sight, away from draughts and never leave it unattended.

~ Do not attempt to move your candle whilst it’s burning as the jar will be hot to touch.

~ Keep out of reach of children and pets.

~ When the candle is down to 1cm of wax remaining, discontinue use. You can then clean your jar by gently removing the leftover wax and hand washing with warm soapy water. Your jar is now ready to be re-purposed in your home.
